Zoe-perry

Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut on television in the role of Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on her role on the ABC show Roseanne. She was not allowed to begin acting by her parents until she reached the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the strain it might cause. Perry stated she felt timid to perform during high school, but started doing shows at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring from Boston University. Perry made her debut with New York after graduation, landing minor role in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry come back to California and pursue a career as a theater actress. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway as a couple as part of The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she performed with her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry starred in the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on ABC's show The Family. In 2017, Perry starred in an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. Also, she was cast on The CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger than Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. She was cast in the role by auditioning for an open role despite being a fan of this persona.
