Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She went to Arnold School Blackpool as head girl. She also scored the highest marks in her A-level exams. As she discussed her Emmerdale character she expressed her regret at having not attended a university. Coleman when she was still in High School, was part of the theatre company In Yer Space. They staged the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. The show also received favorable reviews. She was awarded for her outstanding performance. Coleman was given the part in the role of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while trying out for drama classes in 2005. Coleman was nominated twice in the year 2007. The British Soap Awards she was nominated as Best Newcomer and at the National Television Awards she was nominated as The Most Popular Newcomer. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series she would play the role with Matt Smith. Moffat chose her for the role because she is the most successful with Smith and was able to speak faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Eva as well as being an actress is also an entrepreneur, philanthropist and business owner. Eva has had three marriages and is the mother of a child from her previous husband.
