Hayley Orrantia is an American singer-songwriter and actress. People are most familiar with the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy The Goldbergs' TV show. While she is a performer, her primary passion is music. Music is her first love she maintains; it is something she's dabbled at when she was 9 years old. By the time she reached age 12 she was taking the music seriously enough that she began studying professionally. In 2013, she took the plunge into songwriting and made her debut album. From that point on, there's been nothing but positive. Orrantia is a native of the USA but she is a native of the United States with Hispanic origins. Even though she spoke only English as a child and never visited Mexico, Orrantia is extremely happy with her Hispanic background. Her goal is to preserve it through the creation of Spanish songs, and also studying the language. "Hasta Verte," which she recorded in Spanish is a good example. In the summer of 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the debut Season of The X Factor. Her YouTube video was picked and she was awarded four "yeses", or votes for the judges during the Seattle audition. She originally auditioned solo, but during the "Hollywood Week" she was placed with three other female vocalists in a trio for remaining auditions. The group was eliminated at the 5th week in the Live program.
